Chicken Soup for the Soul books are my favorite book series ever. I can never have enough of them. I might have read more than half of the 130+ titles released over the years. A couple of months ago I picked up books from one of the few English bookstores (What The Book?) in Seoul. Chicken Soup for the Entrepreneur’s Soul was one of them.
I finished reading it today and I am as pleased with this book as I have always been with any of the Chicken Soup titles. I am from a family of white-collar workers and I was brought up and taught to be the same way. My path changed recently and now I can catch the word ‘blogger’ or ‘website-owner’ when I introduce myself to others.

My interest in Entrepreneurship is new and I thought what better way to start looking into it than learning from the masters and finding inspiration from their stories. The word ‘Entrepreneur’ makes me giggle when I associate it with myself. Right now it seems like a right fit.
While I was reading the stories, I felt like I was meeting these entrepreneurs in person and they were telling their stories to me. I got to know the hard work behind some really successful brands and associations that I had heard about but never really read about. This book has 60 stories and not 101 like most of the Chicken Soup books.
My favorites were the stories of Paula Deen, eWomen network, Jelly Belly, The Pampered Chef, Shari’s Berries, Curves, Carmax, jazzercise, Peter Vegso and J.C. Hall (of hallmark). I encounter these people/brands in my everyday life so reading their stories made me feel ‘closer’ to them. There were also some amazing quotes in the book which I will be sharing in an upcoming post soon.
I already know a lot about Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen (through their other books) so I almost feel like I’ve met them. Reading their inspirational words always makes me feel so happy and pumped up about my future. They are the best!
I think everyone can get something out of the Chicken Soup books so I recommend this to everyone! I have also read Chicken Soup for the Soul – Book of Miracles, read the review here.
