Sometimes things go as per our plans, sometimes they don’t but what we are seldom prepared for is when things go better than planned! Photo A Day Experiment(PADE) is one thing I was extremely excited for; I had no idea what to expect. But it has been an awesome ride till now.
I cannot say it’s been a smooth ride but I have learnt so many things in the past few days because of PADE that I consider it as a big stepping stone for me in blogosphere and photography. I always considered myself as a photo-clicker/picture-taker but now I’m an amateur photographer, a photographer nonetheless.
It’s Day 5 of PADE and the theme for today is FRESH!
I had planned to take a picture of a fruit or a vegetable up close for this theme but then I encountered this. I knew I had to modify my take on Fresh.
I loved how only a few flowers had bloomed from the whole bunch. They were the fresh blooms of the day!
Photography perspective: I took these photos with my DSLR – Nikon D7100. I clicked this using the “Close-up” mode since my camera doesn’t have a macro. I focused manually on the little flower. I did not use gridlines but I tried to keep the subject in the outer grid, following the rule of one-thirds!
The theme “Fresh” can be molded into so many forms that I don’t think one post is enough for everything I want to say. But I’d like to state here that nothing says “Fresh” like an early morning. We can let go of the mistakes, guilt, anger, sorrows of the past and start afresh in the morning!
Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it. ~ Lucy Maud Montgomery
And just for that interpretation, here’s a picture which promises a fresh start tomorrow. It is not something fresh but a promise of something new and exciting coming in the near future. It states that we can bury the pain, sorrow and disappointment of the present and start with a clean slate with the new day!
Sometimes the present is so painful and depressing that a fresh start in the present moment seems impossible. The hope of a better tomorrow seems more promising!
(This is a sunset not a sunrise because I wanted to depict tomorrow not today)
Photo perspective: I took this picture from my cell phone (Samsung Galaxy pro in 2012). It is one of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen in Seoul! I wanted to include the sky, the sun (of course) and the reflection of the orange sky in water of the Han river.
I hope you liked my interpretation of “Fresh”. You can also check out all things PADE, including previous PADE entries, on my PADE page. Please share your take on this theme. Also check out other entries for more PADE fun!
