Yesterday while writing my open letter to my teenage self I realized that I had to face some problems for a longer duration of time and there were times when I wanted to give up, but I persisted. And looking back, I am glad I did. So today for the April A to Z Blogging Challenge, P is for Persistence!
I decided to paraphrase the words of some famous people instead of writing another personal story because I think they said it better, and in fewer words!
Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not: nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not: the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. ~ Calvin Coolidge
Persistence is to the character of man as carbon is to steel. ~ Napoleon Hill
Ambition is the path to success. Persistence is the vehicle you arrive in. ~ Bill Bradley
Success is the result of perfection, hard work, learning from failure, loyalty, and persistence. ~ Colin Powell
If you do not have persistence then no amount of education, talent or genius can make up for it. ~ Stephen Richards
