My muse for writing was eluding me for a while and I am thankful that my photography muse was within my grasp all this time. I am in love with my camera – Nikon D7100, a four month old DSLR. I carry it with me everywhere despite the discomfort I face on my neck and shoulders. I am still a shutterbug but I have learnt so many photography techniques that I cannot help but feel proud.
I have almost completed the beginner level. One of the photography effect that I love the most is Bokeh, and not just any Bokeh – night Bokeh. I tried it for the first time when I was hosting Photo A Day Challenge called PADE (Photo A Day Experiment) on this blog for the whole month of July. My Bokeh turned out better than my expectations. See this for more details. If you have never tried Bokeh, click here to learn from my first attempt.
For the latest Weekly Photo Challenge – Focus I decided to do the same Bokeh again to see if I have improved since the last time I did it. I know the answer, but you let me know what you think.
The background in the second photo is the same as the first, the only thing is that the focus is on the doll which creates a beautiful Bokeh. Bokeh can also be created artificially by using effects (like soft focus or glow in Picasa) in photo-editing softwares.
Visit my entries to the last two Weekly Photo Challenge themes: One Shot, Two Ways, Carefree. I hope you enjoyed reading about my experience with Bokeh and liked my efforts at my new found hobby – Photography.
