The theme this time for the Weekly Photo Challenge was Carefree and it was right on time as I went on a two-day vacation to Gyeongpo and Naksan beach in Gangeung-do, South Korea that weekend.
I had a great time in Jeju in the month of June when I was there for my three-day vacation. But I got really tanned for the fun in the sun. Sadly when at the beach, tanning is not something I look forward to like the rest of the world (typical Indian girl!). I did not pay any attention to anything when I was enjoying myself but when I came back and took a look at me I was like – Who is that?
Anyway so I tried some home remedies and got rid of some of tanning and sunburn. But soon we came to know that major beaches in Korea are going to close on 31st August so we knew we had to cover a few famous ones.
We zeroed in on Seokcho and Gyeongpo beach. It was a very short trip and somehow we decided to visit Naksan beach after spending a whole day in the scorching heat at Gyeongpo beach, just because it was closer. And it was very beautiful.
Naksan beach is considered the most beautiful beach in South Korea (excluding Jeju). And rightly so. We went there in the morning and had only 3 hours to spend there. I walked as far as I could alone (since everyone else was reluctant) and took as many pictures I could. I had a great time (Loner alert!)
I clicked more than 200 photos during this trip but the most special one is this Panorma shot taken at Gyeongpo beach.
(Check my instagram for daily photo updates).
I just could not resist adding a pic of us parasailing (we were just about to be dropped in the sea at this moment!)
